31st March 2010 - Double win for Donnelly
Martin donnelly won his heat and Final of the 1st round of the elise trophy at Brands hatch this weekend. He overcame pressure from Marcus Jewell in his heat and Mark Speller in the final to notch up another victory in his DTA prepared series 1 Elise production car.
In his first ever race Dave Carr completed his heat finishing 17th and came a respectable 11th in his final. No major incidents and brought the car home safely both times.
11th March 2010 - DTA car on TDi Dyno
Dave Carr's number 30 car, which will be entering the elise trophy, was taken by DTA to Torque Developments at Thurrock for obligatory power test for series entry on Monday. We were all very impressed with the results of 150BHP / 130lb/ft torque at the wheels (class limit 151BHP), which was a direct result of the mods we carried out over the winter. DTA recognize that the increase in torque makes a car very competitive, let's hope Dave's driving can improve to match his car!
10th March 2010 - GAZ Shock Testing
On Monday, we carried out some extensive testing of GAZ Gold Pro shocks at Brands Hatch. Martin was keeping the technicians busy changing shocks, springs and damper settings which inevitably resulted in a lot of progress being made with this development. Our plan is to have a set up that will be very competitive in the dry and wet alike by April and we be selling this setup as a product through our sister company elise-spares.com.
